Had one of my stocks run up big over the last couple of weeks in my Roth, so i'm taking half my position off and locking in my gain (ticker symbol is ICPT by the way for the curious, picked up a quick four plus points on a $10 basis in about 2 weeks). I'm curious as to what other folks here are buying (or interested in buying) to get my creative juices flowing.

Gold, Silver, and Platinum.

Interesting call. Are you a goldbug by temperment, or are you predicting deflation in the near future? Or both?

If I were a blindfolded primate throwing darts, I would hope they would land on:

GM - Good dividend at the moment (5.73%) to buffer against a decline. Trading below book value. GM has been known to cut dividends though. Nevertheless, that should send the price higher.

JPM - Also a good dividend and, with the exception of earnings, one finds the traditional investment banking fundamentals there. Possibly some more down side, but I think the bloodletting is over. JPM could probably take better advantage of the low interest rate environment here in the USA and improve the bottom line even more.

EK and HON deserve a look too.
