Stock market has been a rollercoaster lately

Drops 5% in one day, then slowly regains those 5% over the next week, then drops it again. Haven't seen that much flactuation in a while.

I buy and hold stock index mutual funds for years, so it doesn't really bother me. The dip in August was just a nice time to buy.

Has anyone noticed the stock market seems to dip every time there is a Presidential election looming?

And you just noticed this now? Did you also notice that you might be thinking you're making more money each year only to realize that it's worth jack outside the US and only getting progressively worse?
