Stock Intel HSF

How much sense does it spell to use AS5 with the stock Intel HSF?
I will hopefully be changing my mobo soon so I wanted to know if this makes sense.
I will be getting an aftermarket HSF though, just not yet able to do so.

I bought it some time ago but didn't get a chance to use it yet. So I guess I'll use it then. Should help out a bit seeing as though I'll still be using my stock HSF.

you do not need very much. as far as i know they sell AS5 in two sizes i bought the bigger one, which is good maybe for 20 computers, thats just a guess. again you dont need much so use it and you should see at least 5 degree drop since your using stock cooling. but that being said remove the old thermal paste with at least 91% (i have used 70% before not a big deal) alcohol. wet sand your chip down too while your at it, its called lapping helps with about 1 or 2 degrees more. Google "lapping" for further instructions, its not a big deal doing this.

Cleaning of the CPU shouldn't be a problem too much...I have some 99.5%...🙂

That lapping thing might be something to look into...I'm a novice to that side of things.
