Stock heatsink with Duron good enough?

I got a retail boxed Duron 700 and it came with a Coolermaster Heatsink. Obviously these heatsinks are approved by AMD but what I want to know is are these heatsinks good enough for a modest overclock of 100 or 150 MHz? Has anyone had any experience with these?

Maybe...depends on how cool the box is. Fine at default, maybe for your modest overclock. Best bet is to try it and see what happens. Most unlikely you would damage anything.

that heatsink is rated for up to the tbird 850, so i'm sure it'll work, it'll run a little hot but should be in spec

it should work fine, just try and you will see, the odds that anything bad will happen are very slim.

Thanks guys. My case is pretty cool. It's a Inwin Midtower with plenty of room. I got a sunon 80mm fan on the front of the case pulling air in and another sunon 80mm on the rear of the case pulling air out. Also the power supply fan is also exhausting air. And with such a modest overclock of 150 I'm sure it will work fine. Probably will have to up the voltage up a little though but no big deal. It seems as if everyone is running their Durons at 900 with max voltage. I guess I'm just too chicken and too poor right now to burn up my cpu.
