Stock cooling on the core 2 duos is awesome

I have an e6400 that I put in. My old proc was a barton 2800+ My old proc sat at 48C idle. This intel cpu sits at 33 idle and rarely goes above 38-40 load. Incredible.

Its not so much the stock cooler as the Conroes are built on a much smaller die and therefore consume less power which means less heat.
I've purchased an Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 for my Conroe, but I plan on doing a little OCing.

Hm.. that's a bit high for idle.. what kind of thermal compound did you use for the barton proc? Also with the efficient architecture of conroe and the 65nm process (vs 130nm for barton), significant temperature reduction is expected
