Stock AMD HS Fan bad out of the box...

What do I do?

I thought it was just loud, but a couple months have gone by and I have since replaced it with a Hyper 212+ on the 1090t it came with, but then I wanted to use it in a Craigslist sale and realized that it is just grinding at all speeds.

It's a nice HS, I'd hate to just toss it and at the same time I think it would be reasonable for AMD to send me a new fan, but I can't find any sort of link for that on their site. I don't want to RMA the whole CPU/Fan combo, it's not worth that.

Any hints on what I should do? I'd rather not buy a new fan myself, but if there are direct replacement ones out there I would at least consider it. It's the "Cooler Master" labeled Thuban 1090T heatsink/fan...

Any particular email address you'd recommend? I don't see one in their warranty area. Are their staff active on any forums, like AMD Zone? I suppose I'd need to pop over and take a look...

I received my first bad fan with my chip. I wanted it replaced fast, so I called Intel. I held the phone down to it and the rep agreed it was bad. It was a very easy process. Just had to read some numbers off of it. EDIT: They sent the entire h/s/f overnight IIRC.
