Durian is awesome as well, if you pick the right one. The aroma is unbelievable. But eat enough of it and it just makes me wanna puke.

To me, most ripe papaya, passion fruit, durian, and some jack fruit & guava fragrant can be offensive.

Stinky tofu with spicy sauce is what got me into spicy foods. Never tried durian.

stinky tofu is awesome. it's completely counter-intuitive how something with such an offensive smell can taste so good. I didn't understand either until I tried it.

I love stinking Tofu. They don't taste as good as they used to (all food quality suffer when the older generation move on). I an cursed with an acute memory of taste and smell. Should have become a chef

And the spicy pickled korean cabbage that comes with it is excellent. I asked for more every time

Agreed, and they smell nasty! They taste alright, but I still won't eat it unless I am being polite. Not like I will order it on a menu by choice.
