There are no jumpers that need set Triple B, and you SHOULD be able to plug and go. 3 possibilities seem likely here. 1) Inadequate power supply -- this is the most likely, and is a VERY common cause of mystery blue screens, etc. during installation. Without knowing what PSU you have, I cannot say for sure. Let ue know what kind of PSU you have, and how many amps it gets on each rail. 2) It IS possible that you are still having memory issues (the second most likely cause of mystery blue screens). To definitively see if you have memory issues, run memtest (it can be found at www.memtest86.com) for at least 2 complete iterations of ALL tests. If you get no errors, then you are not having a RAM related problem. Finally, it IS possible that your XP cd is damaged. To test this, try to make a copy of it. IF it copies successfully, then run the install from the copy instead. Good luck, and let us know what kind of power supply you have, and what you find with memtest.

Try this for the list of post codes: http://forums.pcper.com/showthread.php?t=380534

I agree with MajorPayne, with a variety of post codes it is more likely that you have a non-specific error such as power or, more likely, memory. Run Memtest86 (as I suggested in the previous thread you started) and let us know how it goes.

Also, please list the type of hard drive and interface (SATA/IDE) and similarly for the CD. Also, do you have a floppy?

thanks all for all the tips

i went ahead and picked up some new ram and was able to fly!! then i crashed!!

the sys ran for about 30 mins and was able to kick some a$$ in HL2 at amazing fps. but after realizing i had no sound i tweaked some sound settings and rebooted......to nothing!!

i can not even get it to post now! hdd doestn seem to be picking up speed, rom wont read, no 'beep' (good or bad). only thing that happens is psu, gpu, and cpu fans come on. no signal to the monitor. and of course im the only one running pci-e here.

i have an antec 480 watt neopower psu. it has 12v1@18a and 12v2@15a i cant seem to find the power requirments for mobo now.

id run a mem test...if i could run

thanks again, ill keep poking around with it

if you have any more tips id be glad to try

Well, I think you should first find out if your HDD is spinning up or not.

If it is not spinning up, then you should start troubleshooting to find out why (power cable came unplugged maybe?).

In order to fix these annoying problems, you need to be very methodical and detailed in your approach.

For example, are you using a SATA or PATA HDD? If it is SATA, did you load the NV SATA drivers during the windows install per the addendum in the manual?

I doubt your power supply is the problem, but you may want to check to make sure you aren't pulling all the power off of one rail. Maybe you need to split up the power distribution a bit.

Anyhow, just take it slowly and I'm sure you'll find the solution.
