Still running a Kyro II

Hello all,

I still have a Kyro II in my machine that I bought a couple years ago for ~$100. Although I have had no problems with it, it is probably time to upgrade it.

Are there recommendations for replacement video cards for ~$100 that will yield significant improvements over the Kyro II technology? Thanks.

Get a used ATi 9500 Pro for that much and a huge gain as far as " significant improvements ".

Thanks for the answers. I think a 9800 Pro is a little out of my price range. I have been looking at both 9500 and 9700. The 9500 Pro will definately fit within the price range. The 9700 Pro may if all stars align. Are there others that compete favourably to the 9700 Pro?

PS - Anything about to be released in the next few months that may drop 9800 Pro prices to within my range?
