Well...

InsightBB (the new service that replaced @home in Lexington) called my wife today and said that they turned it over to someone else (she didn't get the name) and that it could be next week before my service is back up. If it doen't get better soon, I'm going DSL hunting....:|

Yeah - that sucks. Glad I switched to DSL last fall, My brother is/was on cable but here in Des Moines they are having all sorts of problems since the conversion.:|

Hope you can get back up and running - The Federation may run out of WUs if you don't.😱 Only 101 left and 220 to be sent to Bezerkly.:|

Engineer - good luck. I think alot of people nationwide, are going through hassles with cable transitions, whether due to Comcast

You could be worse off. I have NOTHING but Dial up and a really speedy connection is 2400 for me 😉

No DSL No Cable Was going to get wireless but there was a contract problem on the leasing of the tower so so much for that............ And Qwest and @Home don't think that where I live is important enough to put them in so they are not ever planned 🙁

PS I live in the Spokane Valley there are a couple hundred thousand people out here complaning.

I'm seriously considering DSL...as InsightBB didn't even call back yesterday even though I had placed my name in their callback Queue at 4pm and they didn't close until 12! :|

I don't know if I could handle what your going through. I go bonkers when my cable goes down for half a day. I try dial up and thank the gods that I don't have to use a modem anymore.

Tarca...there were 115 completed WU's there this morning...and rising almost 30 per day....SIGH!!!!!

I wrote the COO of InsightBB a nice e-mail from work this morning....hopefully, she can help.
 
I have had cable for about a year now, and had my first known outage last night. About 6 hours...drove me quite Berzerkely!!!

Besides that, I have found my cable connection to be much more stable than the aDSL which I had before. (RoadRunner/Time Warner for cable, and SWBell for aDSL) Customer service at SWBell was $hit! They didn't have a clue about what they were doing. After my aDSL was down for about 10 days, I called RoadRunner, and had cable the next morning.
 
Well you are still in the race with Pie and I with those numbers. I only hope that they get you going soon.😉

Hehe...considering that there are about 100 WU's in CADKindaGuy's Queue for the Federation also.....:Q

Also...finally got an answer from Tech support...they don't have control over the accounts and they have turned it over to AT&T to fix the problem.....AT&T probably being the big problem! They don't even know when they will get an answer to the problem. I might as well start looking around....sigh! :|

Hey all.....sorry I've not been around lately...again, I'm extremely busy at work and, of course, I can't post from home...but am looking for a new ISP (at least until they fix the problem)....

I may pop in an AOL CD just for the heck of it and take an old 56k modem home from work.....I really hate to...but my wife is having withdrawl...(I am too! :Q)....

I've written the COO/VP about the poor switchover (the lady that sent out all the updates...I've heard that she listens and responds well) and that my wife and I have decided to give the weekend one more chance...but come Monday...no service = NEW ISP!

If you wanna hose your system install AOHell. ANYTHING is better than AOL, 2 tincans and string would be better. lol 😀
