How's the 2D on the Rage? This would be an office machine, 3D performance doesn't matter, reading text all day does. Can't talk 'em into LCD yet though.

 
I can't speak from experience on the Rage, but ATI's 2D is usually great quality. All ATI cards I have ever had always had good 2D quality.
 
ATi 2d is great and there is alway that AGP slot for future expension..

because it's a scam. noone have collected rebates from optiplex deal back in april. They are sending voided
checks to some on deals in Jan.

 
dell sent out one-time-use $100 coupon code to randmom users via mail. so unless someone gives it to you..

Ok, next question, those who have gone for 256m of ram in the 4500 in previous deals, did you get 1 (256) stick or 2 (128)s? Since they charge $20 more for a single stick over in the servers than two of the same total capacity, I'm guessing the latter. With only two DDR slots on the board two 128's seem less than ideal.

Don't like the sounds of the rebate, but gambling for $100 using a $36 stick as the bet, well... I mean if you go for the memory you're getting $36 worth of product at most (as of Crucial's prices today) and if you want to go beyond 256 you're stuck trading/selling one of the sticks. Stupid decisions always get in the way.

I dont think dell would scam all of us.. They r too reputable of a company to screw up like that.. Imagine Cnet and zdnet news posting dell denying 10000s of customers $100 rebate that EVERYONE knows about..
400MHZ - GARBAGE!!! I am upset of ordering this now.. Maybe I will swap CPU later
