Still having problems with abit kt7a + 1 ghz thunderbird

When i boot up my system it shows a "CPU changed or unworkable error" and is at 750 mhz (7.5 x 100)

i went to the bios and set it to 1 ghz (both 10 x 100 and 7.5 x 133) and it wont boot up until i clear the cmos

any suggestions?

What is your CPU? Is it a 750Mhz Athlon or a 1Ghz?
