STILL getting BSOD with Touch connection

I'm running windows XP pro SP3, Itunes 8.0.1, Touch FW 2.0.2. I have tried every suggestion, every guide, everything i can think of to allow my touch to connect without getting a BSOD. with Itunes and all affiliated software uninstalled, i can connect my touch, but windows immediately detects and installs it as a logitech webcam 😕. As soon as i install Itunes, BSOD. If i install itunes first AND THEN plug in my touch, i get a BSOD as soon as it starts to instill the "Apple Ipod Driver." I think i'm just fucked because i have a built-in logitech webcam in my computer that i cannot prevent from installing a driver. Why XP immediately detects my touch as a camera, i have no idea. Any help would be very very much appreciated, i'm going nuts.

Disable UPnP and manually install the driver. The driver should be in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\Drivers.

I disabled the UPnP and SSPD services through services.msc, but for some, inexplicable reason, as soon as i plug the thing it installs the driver, just as it always did. i double checked to make sure the services were disabled...i have no idea why i can't stop it from installing. Question... how can i manually install that driver without plugging my ipod in? i tried one method that didn't work... how would you suggest i do it? I have to install itunes for the driver to be there, so after that....what's next?

1. Do you have ANY Logitech services (keyboard/mouse/webcam) running in the background? Stop all Logitech-related services, both from task manager and Services. Uninstall all Logitech software. Then try installing iTunes.

2. If that doesn't work, try installing an older iTunes (7.6 for example), plug in the Touch and see if it reaches the point where it can complain about wanting iTunes 8.0., then upgrade.
