Still get the Hewlitt Packard startup screen even after formatting hard drive.

It's from my mom's computer. Her drive went bad so I replaced it with one I had and took her bad one. I formatted it and put Win98 on it, but when it boots the HP startup screen still comes up.

Some BIOS let you disable the graphic. If you know what you're doing, enter the BIOS at startup and see if you can disable it anywhere.
