Glad to hear that you made it without problems! If you are like other parts of FL you needed the rain. My Mother lives in Altha, 14 miles south of the K-Mart in Marianna, and they had a period this summer where is was really dry.
Gordon was pretty weak in my area (Pinellas county). We got a lot of rain but it was more of a steady rain than flooding downpour. I've had thunderstorms do more wind and flooding damage. I think we got lucky on this one because it could've been a lot worse. It weakened on it's way to land. Seems the only real problems it caused was flooding (tides) along the shoreline. Hopefully others had the same experience...
I live in the same area as robor and I made it through just fine, save for the few branches in my yard. My work fleet did go down over the weekend and I lost a lot of WU's.:disgust:
rleach2: If you were more dedicated you'd be checking your fleet throughout the storm. You live close to work so I think every other hour would be a good place to start! It's not like you get any sleep now anyway (rleach2 is a new Dad)! :Q
