Still Confused... Unlocking Duron 800

I can't get my multiplier above 9.0 on my Duron 800. When I bought it, it was locked at 8.0, so I connected the L1 bridges, but setting it to anything 9.5 or above would default back to 9.0. I was told by members of this forum to redo the L1 bridge connections. Well, I have done that 3 times over now, and for whatever reason, the multiplier is still stuck at or below 9.0. Do I just have to live with this? I have an IWILL KK266 mobo.
 
It may be that you are pushing it higher than it can go and it is bumping it down to a safer speed as a epox does. Try loweing your FSB then go for 9.5. This will let you know what is holding you back.
