Wife wanted her ring cleaned, turns out a prong was bent. So took 4 hours instead of 5 mins. Went across the street to the mall to kill time, checked one Gamestop, no Switch. Checked the other, they had 6. He said he didn't know they were getting them till 830 last night. Got it, an extra controller, Zelda, and Mario Kart. Someone finally had one. My LG 65" OLED is a little over kill for the Switch, but still looks pretty amazing. Haven't customized the video settings at all yet.

4 hours ended up costing me a bit though. Dillards had their 40% end of the month sale, got 3 pairs of shoes, two jackets, more clothes, ugh. Then a purse in another store. Was supposed to be a quick stop for a ring cleaning, ugh. But someone finally had one. And I bought what is probably at least the 12th copy of Mario Kart in my life time. I hate going to the mall, its a trap.

I got an extra one at the nintendo store. Neon joycons and NIB.

If anyone wants it I just want what I paid for it. Thought it was going to my sister and my nephews. She put the hard no on that lol.

ARMS has been better than I expected but Mario Kart is epic. Preordered Splatoon 2 after playing these switch games.

Finally GOT ONE!!! Special Thanks goes to drbrock for it too.

If anyone is still looking for one Gamestop seems to have them in stock. Nineteen Gamestops within 20 miles of my house show the Switch with Gray Joycons being in stock on their webpage.

Yes, the switch seems to finally be starting to be in stock at most places. All the price gouging frenzy of reselling them seems to have dropped off over the last month, and those people have stopped buying every switch they were allowed to buy at the stores.

Hopefully it becomes easy enough to find that Nintendo bundles Zelda or Mario Odyssey with the system as a Christmas promotion to drive sales back up.
Wouldn't matter. Bundles save you money no longer. Now all they do is include all the items for the exact same total cost as buying them separate. I long for the days when getting a Super Nintendo with two controllers and Super Mario World together was a better value than going with the bare bones "Control Deck" and buying it all separate.

First party games get bundled in all the time for free to help drive console sales. It's a great way for a company like Sony, Microsoft, or Nintendo to keep up a price point by offering buyers $60 of extra perceived value without costing the company more than a couple of bucks for the box art and the disc/cartridge. If Switch sales start to slow I think you'd see Nintendo bundle BOTW, Arms, Mario Kart 8, or Splatoon 2 with their systems to keep them at $300 while driving sales way back up.

After a couple years maybe, but remember... this is the FIRST holiday season for the Switch. Do you really think they'll have to bundle anything on a new console, during its first holiday season, when stock has already been so hard to find? I could see a mario kart bundle next year, but not this year.

No, I don't think so. But I was hoping so. I was hoping the stories about them being in stores now might indicate Nintendo overestimating the demand and overproducing for the rest of the year. Then we could see a bundle.

Well, they are on track to easily sell 11 million units this year, and can possibly hit 16-17million depending on the holiday sales, possibly even surpassing the 18million number that the WiiU sold total...

I can see stores doing their own bundles for Black Friday.

I have been replaying Zelda and wow does the Switch version play so much better. I borderline hated the game on the Wii U at launch with all the slowdown but haven't really seen that issue once. I know the game has been patched but it feels completely new.
