Still cannot CON Windows!

In my work, I was really abbreviating streams that I was saving to a server and typed CON for the filename. Winders complains saying to save as a different name because that name (CON) is a reserved device name...

What is the device?

If anyone with Win 95 or unpatched Win 98 machines (I know, probably 1/123451 chance of that happening on AT!) clicks that link they'll get a BSOD.

Cheers!

LOL, the image name cannot be downloaded (right click, save as) to a windows computer and FTP transfers will fail. MSIE can see it since it saves temporary files as a different name I suppose. Boy this opens up a can (con) of worms!

Cheers!

cat /dev/hda1 > /dev/dsp

replace /dev/hda1 with your hard drive

I was going to say something, but if someone with a Unix box does without know what that does, they get what they deserve.

More fun is to pipe the /dev/mouse into the /dev/audio on a SUN box, you could also use /dev/urandom.
