Wow I got an e-mail saying mine was on back order and would ship in 7-10 days. Then I got an e-mail later today saying that it was ready to be shipped. And then I tracked it a few minutes ago and it is on its way.

I ordered on Saturday and just got it in a few hours ago. Unfortunately, I really can't tell a difference between 512 and 1024-oh well, bragging rights I guess

I got mine yesterday as well and went from 512 to 1gb. I can tell a difference when playing Battlefield 1942, there is less load time in between games on multiplayer. My computer no longer hangs when and goes back to the desktop for 15 seconds in between games. Much nicer. Also notice a difference when downloading, and doing multiple things at once. System no longer comes to a crawl after prolonged d/ling.

For all those, who ordered and got it as Backordered - just call up Customer Service at Crucial and they will have your order ship out immediately. (Just say something like your friend ordered an hour after you but his shipped and yours is showing BO)

You can find their 800 no on the order tracking page. They have some system Glitch as the orders are pouring in very fast, and the system is showing Back order with some orders as a safety measure to buffer inventory

I was able to pretty agressively overclock this RAM. As high as 166 at CAS3, more modestly at 155 now at 2.5. Haven't tried tweaking it down yet as I was OC'ing the processor at the same time. Nice stuff.

Overclocking aggressively usually means running it with timings at 2/2/5 with CAS of 2. Oh yeah, what kind of board are you oc'ing with?
That Fex guy should deliever it to today. I'll see how well it does.

Thanx

Mine did 166 right out of the box, I forgot I had that setting in Bios and booted right up. It says 166 bus and spd, so it's not pushed too much, but Sisoft Sandra says its running at 2.5 cas PC2700. Ram Int 2229, Ram Float 2051, running on a VIA KT333 chipset. Woo Hoo!

Mr. Fedex man just dropped off my gb worth of Ram, great deal came to 113 something total. I'll install it after I run some errands.

Since this board doesn't run at CAS 2 at it's specced speed (PC2100) I'd respectfully disagree :) But let's just say I'm overclocking it to PC2700+ speeds :)

A78NX Deluxe is the board.

I'm running the shuttle sn41g2 at 13x155. 2 sticks crucial 256 pc2100 @ 155 3x4x4x7
Its not running very stable, meaning prime95 gives 1 error in 1 hour, but running at 13x150 its stable no errors and ram at 155 2x2x2x6.
I'm trying to burn in 155 and see if i can get it stable.

seems that the amd 2100xp reevision b can only do 150 mhz bus at default voltage of 1.55v ~ 1.58

I'm running 1.5GB or RAM now at DDR333 speeds, command rate of 1T at cas 2.5. I am unsure about the other settings because for some reason my board doesn't have options for them.

I was running 512 at DDR333 at Cas2 before. Scores are higher with the 1.5 gigs across the board (maybe 4-way bank interleaving helps with that or something).

I'm pretty satisfied. This is achieved with no voltage increase.

It does get into windows at Cas2, but is very unstable, even with the voltage set to 2.7.
