Hey guys,
i was looking at a mobo and could not decipher the tech heavy lingo. please help me out. what is unbuffered/none-ECC? and whats up with the chipset Intel 845PE/ICH4 ?

ECC/Registered memory is only usually only needed for large amounts of RAM (probably > 2GB) and is most used on servers. It's not needed for "normal" PC's.

ECC stands for error correcting code. If you have a single-bit memory error, ECC memory will detect and correct the error.
