Hello,

Anyone who's had a few notebooks that they've kept or maintained for
a few years has had to have run into the problem of hinges that get so
stiff they break or break the case.

Dose anyone know of a safe and effective way to lubricate stiff notebook
case hinges?

Since the hinges are always just plain old hardware, I would think you could PROBABLY use some WD40, cooking oil, or something like that. Vaseline might even be better because you know it won't drip everywhere. I am not saying this from experience, but I think as long as you just don't get anything INSIDE then you are fine... I feel like the vaseline is actually a good bet...
