Sticky frets

Ruptga

Lifer
I've got a used RB guitar controller and one of the frets sticks unless it's pushed just so. I popped the button off and there's a little bit of grease inside, but it's not much at all. The obvious thing to do is put some more grease on it, but I have no idea what kind I'd need to get.

seriously, it's that simple? I don't want to put something in there that will dry out and get crap all over its innards

Graphite power or teflon spray should work. Dry lubricants keep stuff from sticking to the lube and getting nasty.

Also, you might see if you can see where the rubbing is occuring, and maybe slightly polish it down with a high-grit sandpaper.

Edit: These are just general ideas, I'm not familiar with how those controllers are made.
