depends...do you like 1330? then you can get another 1330. If not then go for 15" notebook maybe not from Dell but HP or Acer or Gateway.

Like Rottie says - it depends on you. If you travel a lot and size and weight make a difference - that votes for the smaller one. If you use it mainly in one place and play games, etc., go for the larger. It's like asking if you should buy a convertyible or a SUV. Personal choice based on usage.

I have an ancient 13" Fujitsu LifeBook. It still works fine, but is hopelessly outdated and slow.

I replaced it with a 15.4" Toshiba A215. It works great, but borders on being too big.

My next lappy will be in the 13" range, to wit...

THIS LOOKS INTERESTING TO ME

It's an Asus U2 (2.75 lbs) ;)

BTW, I've been reading a LOT of horror stories about the Dell's XPS M1330 lately, soooooo...

I don't think the U2 is out yet. The U3 (13.3") and U6 (12.1") are about $1400 and $1700, respectively.

If the U3 was available when I was in the market for a notebook, I would have jumped on it knowing what I know now about my needs. It may not have a built in optical drive, but it's super thin, super light, and has a combo integrated and dedicated graphics so you can get more battery life when you're on the go but have a little power when at a desk.

I bought at Asus F8 which is a 14.1" laptop, I think it's the perfect balance between the ultra portable smaller screens and the not so portable 15.4" Plus it only weights about 5 pounds.

if you need the performance, a 15inch will typically be able to house higher performaing parts, and is a little cheaper for a similar config, but it all depends on you. i have a 15inch acer aspire 5920, it is a little on the bigger side, but i dont mind it too much. if you use the laptop on the go more often, then the 13inch might be better, if it is used more at home or as a main computer, then getting the 15inch would be more benficial. if you decide to get a 15inch dell, make sure it is the xps1530 and not the inspiron if graphics performance is important as the xps uses the gddr3 version of the 8600m gt, while the inspiron only has the crippled gddr2 version. EDIT: its also much sexier than the inspiron imo too.
