Stick shift is more fun to drive. It gives the driver a chance to feel a bit more "sporty" than an automatic. :D

I Like stick where I live in Vermont pretty much all open and no stopping. In the city or more populated area's I think it would get kind of annoying.

Just wondering. Im getting a stick shift mustang and have no idea how to drive it yet. (nothing fancy/used/little problems) Its that time for me FILLANY! I know you have to clutch it everytime you wanna slow down, go faster, park, ect. Some reason im liking the stick better than automatic.. yes i shouldnt be judging yet. Way im thinking is, "dang cant eat that big mac while driving" b/c you have to switch back gears with other hand.

It also discourages cell phone use while driving...man I wish stick shifts were more common.

heh, my dad has the 2002 mustang with the big V6 engine (model below the GT), and its a stick. It is a blast to drive for someone like me who is used to 4-bangers :p

but yah i drive a stick too, and it is way more fun to drive than an auto

I prefer manual, all the way.

However I'm driving an auto at the moment, i'm finding my left leg and left arm have nothing to do!

Hmmmm I've done Santa Monica- Diamond Bar a couple of times at peak hours (3.5 hours for 40 miles) driving my stick shift Maxima. It wasn't pretty.

It really depends on the car. I prefer a manual with a car that has a small engine. But I would not mind an automatic with a car that has an engine which has six or more cylinders with a capacity of more than three liters.

For the diehard clutch fans let me remind you that Ferraris do not have a traditonal clutch.
