Some forum members don't agree with others (what's new...to be expected).
What is NOT to be expected are multiple responses endorsed with STFU. I don't know if it's a case of emotional unstability, simple ignorance, or the lack of even a rudimentary communication skillset. It really doesn't matter WHY it occurs.
It is not only not a nice way to behave, it is extremely offensive. This should not be tolerated, and should be addressed.
I made one simple post and fortunately I wasn't flamed (not that it would matter), however others were treated with gross disrespect.
The whole issue is one reason why I usually just read the posts and generally use the forums in order to glean insightful information.
The forums and associated threads should offer the ability for announcements, questions, discussion, and yes, even arguing. It's implicit that the members should at least be civil to each other regardless of whether or not they agree or disagree with each other.
But, hey, I know...@#it happens!
EDIT:spelling fix
