 I love armchair MMA fans. Go to a Karate school and ask one of their white belt students to show you a front snap kick and see if it looks anything like what Silva credits Seagal with "teaching" him. You obviously don't know anything about martial arts except what you see on the UFC, so it's no surprise you'll believe anything they feed you. Typical modern day UFC fans.

Do you honestly think that two of the best fighters in the world give credit where credit is NOT due?

In 4 different interviews both Machida & Silva give nothing but praise to him and say they learned it from him. Sorry but I'm going to take their word over yours. Especially considering they're shelling out money for him to train them. Both know infinitely more about fighting than you even think you know about it. Or maybe it's just an odd coiendience both fighters used a nearly identical move in the PPV's they were in right after Steven started to train with them. Anderson Silva's one of the most arrogant fighters on the planet, he's the MMA equivalent of Mayweather, but probably even worse. No way in hell would be give Seagal credit unless he deserved it. That kick's almost never used in MMA, that's why Rogan & Goldie almost ejaculated due to excitement when Silva used it. It might be as you call it, a "basic move" but it's not something you see.

Because generally speaking, UFC fighters SUCK are kicking. If you want to see a night and day difference, watch the great K-1 fighters. They have AWFUL ground skills, but their stand up and kicks are freakin' AWESOME! And yes, ALL of them know a basic front snap kick. And freakin' Silva and DEFINITELY Karate Machida knows it too. That's like a mathematician with a PHD crediting a guy for showing him how to do addition. It makes no fucking sense. Maybe Seagal needs some promotion.

So if I understand you correctly, you're calling Anderson Silva a fraud? I know when Seagal started to train with him, and I know when he used the kick for the 1st time. I've also seen every UFC ppv and all but a few of the fight nights, and you can count on a single hand how many times that move has been used in MMA. I NEVER said it was an advanced technique, I was stating that a UFC champ and an ex champ both credit Seagal for showing them the move. If you want to call them frauds, that's fine believe what you will. Machida's about nothing but honor and respect when it comes to fighting, there's zero chance in hell he said what he said about Steven for any other reason than it was the truth. This is a dude who drinks his own urine every morning. The 2 of them crediting him doesn't mean they're saying they learned it from him, they're saying he showed them a move to use. That's what a good trainer does. And both used what he showed them to win their last fights.

 Yes, it's the UFC. It's all about making money. Maybe this was a way to promote Seagal. I don't know, but it doesn't make any sense.

I'm not calling them a fraud at all. I'm just telling you, they KNEW that move. It is a basic move. Again, if someone with a PHD in mathematics credits someone recently for showing them how to do basic addition, wtf would you think? Would you go, I guess he didn't know how to add, otherwise why would he credit him? Or would you think, "wait, WTF?"

Most of these guys become marketing, promotional, or entrepreneurial experts because MMA is not going to pay them enough to last a lifetime, especially given how unexpectedly short-lived someone can be on top. And who can blame them, that's a hard-ass way to make a living, might as well milk whatever you can get out of it. But they're just like anyone else. They like to rub elbows with celebrities and curry favor with people in high places (especially actors).

Xenergy Drink is also a key part of UFC training. I mean why else would they say they drink it? I trust those guys, and if they say it helps them in their training, by God, it must be true.

Well he is a police officer, so it's not that unbelievable that he might be doing some undercover work. He didn't say he was going undercover to take down the rest of the Taliban forces in Afghanistan. For all you know he's going undercover to break up a small local car theft ring. You know police go undercover all the time right?

You sound like the tool here, why so bitter man?

It's very hard to believe someone as well known as Seagal could successfully go undercover anywhere.

He has a long penchant for exaggeration and aggrandizing. On one episode of his "Lawman" TV show, he claimed that when he came down to Jefferson Parish to teach them some martial arts, they invited him to shoot on their combat range or something. And he claims he out-shot all the SWAT guys, so he was invited to come do their firearms and marksmanship training as well. Could be true, but it would mean Jefferson Parish had some lousy firearms trainers and piss-poor marksman.

It's Jefferson Parish. AKA New Orleans. Aside from being in the most corrupt, overweight, backwards state in the country, the city itself is notorious for incredibly high, nation leading violent crime rates. And let's not forget that when things got rough, the cops all deserted. No wait, not all of them, some stayed to murder civilians and loot stores.

Have you been to New Orleans? Even now the police are so unprofessional in day to day behavior and appearance that it's laughable.

BTW I'm going to New Orleans this weekend. Love that place!

Where'd all this BS about UFC and MMA come from? Thread is about a guy dealing with a dickhard HOA.

Why does he say he owns the property when we've seen numerous examples where homeowners merely rent the property from the HOA? Are people still so gullible?

Yes because Loyoto Machida bringing up a washed up actor would definitely benefit him financially right? Here is what he said verbatim

"I train this kick a lot," said the karateka. "I've had it in my arsenal, and I just had to wait for the right moment to pull the trigger and utilize it. The technique itself we've both known for a long time. But I definitely think Steven Seagal being involved and influencing us and helping us perfect the kick definitely made a difference. He always reinforced that to me -– to try that kick. 'That kick will land, and it will work.' I definitely give credit to him for helping me perfect that kick.

Anderson said essentially the same thing, and I don't know if you watch MMA or not, but I've never seen a fighter who made it without trainers behind them. What would these 2 stand to gain by bullshitting here? Nothing. I guess Jones is lying when he gives credit to Greg Jackson to helping him win fights? Next you're going to tell me Jordan was lying when he said he couldn't have won a title without Phil Jackson as his coach. I mean, Jordan already knew how to play ball right? So why the fuck would he need somebody telling him what to do if he already knew how to do it.

Silva & Machida have spent countless hours training with Steven, explain why?

Because they are the elite and on top of their game. Where else can you go from there but down?

Its not like they are going "Oh shit, I'm ranked 10th, I need to find a proven trainer to work with to get me to #1 or #2." No, they are more like "I'm the fucking best in the world, might as well try some weird kind of shit from a washed-up actor (of whom I'm a big fan and admirer, who maybe could get me some acting work in the future)."

When a #10 ranked fighter gets to #1 and credits Steven Seagal with his rise to the top (as many fighters have said of Greg Jackson or others), give me a call. Until then....

 Do you know anything about Aikido? Aikido pretty much has no kicks. It would be like someone going to Mike Tyson to show them how to kick. "Hey, Mike Tyson showed me how to perfect that kick." Seagal has AWFUL kicks. That's not what he is good at. Now he may THINK (most likely does) he was AMAZING kicks, but he doesn't. He has like 2 kicks, a shitty looking round house and a shitty front kick. Why someone with a black belt in Karate would listen to this guy on how to PERFECT a kick that he's shitty at in the first place is beyond. Again, this HAS to be some kind of publicity stunt. There is no other explanation for it.

And quit going off on tangents. I never said anything about NOT having a trainer. It's the same in boxing. A good corner can mean everything. But we are not talking about having a good corner, we're talking about a washed up actor trying to get back in to the spotlight.

Also Anderson Silva said one thing to us after his fight, and another to reporters in his home country.

It was all about getting SS back in the spotlight, a paid publicity stunt.

I know right, it's impossible to have knowledge or appreciation of a sport your not a professional at. It's why I always watch my sports with the sound off. Silly commentators, thinking they know anything at all.
