I agree with BoomerD ... new show is so-so so far. It needs some improvements.
Theme music was cut short and tempo is a bit too fast.
They should of kept the basic original opening and closing, just changed the character faces / names. Plots are not too bad, but need some improvement.
Show also says preview of next week's show, but CBS (NY area) does not show that.
Episode #02 would have been an excellent one in which to feature Wo Fat as this was a spy / espionage type plot and that character would have fit in nicely.
We never met the Governor (or even heard the ladies voice) .. we did know the Old Governor. No real office yet for the staff, no secretary, no crime lab techs. And right now they are only calling them "Governor's Task Force" when they should be Hawaii-50 State Police .. Also, I agree with Dano, he and Steve should wear ties. They did on the old show. Don't like the girl as Kono, that was originally a Male Part and should be kept that way. Add the girl as another character.

We "met" the governor briefly in the pilot. She's played by Jean Smart...from Designing Women...

Not a big part so far...but at least they've let us know she's not just some unidentified voice on the phone. I expect her part will grow as the series goes on. (IF it goes on)
