Huh, i'm an android fan and i don't really like Apple all that much, but i do have to tip my hat off to Jobs over this.

Here's the key passage recounting a conversation Jobs had with Rupert Murdoch, chairman and CEO of News Corp., which owns Fox News:

"You're blowing it with Fox News," Jobs told him over dinner. "The axis today is not liberal and conservative, the axis is constructive-destructive, and you've cast your lot with the destructive people. Fox has become an incredibly destructive force in our society. You can be better, and this is going to be your legacy if you're not careful." Jobs said he thought Murdoch did not really like how far Fox had gone. "Rupert's a builder, not a tearer-downer," he said. "I've had some meetings with (Murdoch's son) James, and I think he agrees with me. I can just tell."

Steve Jobs is a destructive force to the youth, intelligence, and culture of this world, just as much as Fox News is.

I don't give a flying fuck about what he did or didn't do.

Steve Jobs? He's that dead guy, right?

Yeah, the dead guy with an opinion on "constructive vs. destructive" who relied on homeopathic medicine to treat his cancer because "I didn't want my body to be opened … I didn't want to be violated in that way."

He was still more successful than you will ever be.

While that's undeniably true, it's hard to see how being good at making electronics translates well to media criticism. While I think good 'ol Steve was right on this matter I don't see how his stature makes him any more of an authority on this topic than anyone else.

People who want their products to reach EVERYONE should stay out of politics, at least in the public's eye. If you want to only sell to 1/2 your potential customers then by all means, be as political as you can.

Well that's the thing isn't it? Apple was staying out of politics by staying away from a NEWS organization that refuses to even try to be mildly impartial. And as far as Steve Jobs goes, the fact that he's a tech nerd means nothing about his opinion of Fox News. The fact that he at the time was running the most valuable company on the planet and refused to advertise on Fox News because of their mantra should mean a lot. Eventually you'll have it that the only companies that are willing to be on Fox News are Gold Line and gun stores.

Hates Fox but rationalizes and justifies Chinese near slave labor to make his products.

And he had equal feelings for MSNBC? If so I didn’t see any. That is him not staying out of politics. You can't pick one side and then try and claim neutrality.

That's only when they are actually making (assembling) their own products. All the other times they are just taking PC hardware, slapping a new logo on it and tripling the price.

Republicans should worship him because he was billionaire. Even if he hated Fox News and was a recreational illegal drug user.

No he wasn't, he's dead. He's got no home, no car, no credit card, no money, and no pulse. Everyone reading this is demonstrably better off than Jobs.
And you will live on forever or eventually be your version of a failure?

Eww, my turn. Liberals should love Steve Jobs for being a hippie progressive bleeding heart even though he kept the vast majority of his wealth and outsourced everything Apple ever made overseas.,
