May you go in peace Steve. Some people here on this site have never lost anybody with cancer and watch them waste away or you wouldnt be talking the way you are

i hope he has a ceremony worthy of his influence and contributions to the world, both directly and indirectly.

how sweet would it be if he had a streamline brushed titanium casket with a glowing apple logo on it haha

Wat

Just making fun of idiots who can't tell the difference between marketing and engineering.

I have been on the sales side and the engineering side.

You want to screw ponies. You will neither sell to your client nor up-sell them on the implementation unless they are in Mexico doing a Pony Show.

"once in a rare while, somebody comes along who doesn’t just raise the bar, they create an entirely new standard of measurement."

love him or hate him, that's exactly what he did. he made technology easy to use for those who didn't know how to use it.

Its sad that the best treatment we have is "something that kills cancer slightly faster than it kills you".

Indeed. Though not surprising when you stop to think what cancer is. It's basically just the same cells as the rest of your body, only they've stopped listening to the correct instructions.

As much as our understanding of biology has advanced in the past 100 years or so we are still very much in the dark about much of it. The level of complexity we are dealing with is astounding and will take decades and decades more to fully unravel.

I'm not following what alky is talking about here but I do believe implementation IS used this way.

No, "implementation" needs something to be implemented. You can just have |the implementation| hanging there attached to nothing.
