Heh... at least we'd get some cool add-ons for the Segway! He's one of the few people in the world who doesn't worry about looking like a tool while riding one of those.

As I said in the Apple forum, my bet is that his cancer is back :(

But APPL stock will tank on this news, hence keeping it a secret is wise.

Maybe his declining health is the reason for the recent executive shuffling and his bit role in the press conference yesterday -- he had his minions handling most of the technical details.

Unfortunately when one man is basically the entire company as we know it, I think they have to be VERY careful about what we do and don't know about his health. Best of luck to him, but he ain't looking so good. :(

I agree with the earlier sentiment though, if Steve isn't able to continue, BRING BACK THE WOZ!

My God, losing Steve would be a MASSIVE blow to us geeks, PC users and Mac users alike.

I seriously see his funeral being as big as a former President.

I might actually cry.

Crap, I'm young enough to have to see both Steve Jobs and Bill Gates die. :(

EDIT: I think I speak for alot of us when I say that Steve Jobs is more than just an executive. It's just hard to explain it.

whoa...he really looks bad! What will apple do when SJ leaves? Bring in Fake Steve Jobs? He IS the company....if it wasn't for him...the company would be a very minor player in the market today. Its his marketing charisma that re-invented the company in the mid 1990's.
