I may not have agreed with his company and their tactics but truly a tech giant has passed away.

I knew it was only a matter of time. The type of cancer he had, it's never a cure it's only a matter of time.

RIP.

The mouse, the GUI, the usable touch screen interface, all thanks to him/apple.

Truly amazing some innovations we just take for granted.

The touch screen phone (that's usable), MP3 player (that is user friendly), App/music stores, tablets that aren't clunky, Android, etc as well.

It could be argued that stuff would have happened anyways, but it wouldn't have happened until years after it actually did without Jobs.

Weird. I made a joke about it...but now, watching coverage on TV - I am actually sad. I don't think I've ever been sad about anyone's passing before. It's surreal.

We knew it was coming when he stepped down and we saw those pictures of him, but this is still a shock. He's just been such a defining figure all my life in the technology sector.

I wonder if he put any money into cancer research. If I had as much money as he did, 95% of it would of went into finding a cure.

I didn't much like Steve or his business practices, but in terms of salesmanship there were no better and I greatly respect him in that aspect of his life. All you have to do is watch the most recent showing of the 4s and the new tech to see how much they've lost. Steve pimping Siri would have made it a household buzzword.
