So Steve was swimming above some sting rays minding his own business, and some sting ray just stabbed him in the heart. Steve pulled the barb straight from his heart, which was at least 6 inches long. Then his mouth started foaming, and died in the water. So he got stabbed right in the heart, poison released, and was killed pretty much instantly.

I was at a football game today (English football, not American football) and the fans sang "there's only one Steve Irwin!" to the tune of "the referee's a wanker!". Shows how much he affected people.
