Bannon is a perfectly amoral cynic. He always bets on people to be stupid and emotional - liberals, democrats, conservatives, and republicans alike - and because of that his bets usually pay off.
And if a society aspires to greed and exploitation, without the checks of ethics, morality and justice (which he perceives as weaknesses), then he's that society's ideal citizen.

He showed a little weakness.. see that part where he get annoyed at the audience? He can be made to crack open the can of crazy he is.
Is he setting him self up for a 2020 or 2024 run?

Maher pegged Bannon in the very beginning with his reference of Palin and Trump. I think we all know Bannon has to deny it out of professional courtesy but everyone, Bannon included, knows Maher is correct.

He spent the predictable time and effort trying to minimize Trump's many mental and verbal deficiencies as 'noise vs signal, you have to discard the noise.' Maher didn't let him get away with it, went on to critique Dems. Bannon showed up, deserves credit, but really only offered a rehash of his usual defenses of Trump, throwing in a little gloating and prognosticating as well.

Only a sock puppet weaned on Fox would think Bannon destroyed anyone there. That entire episode was another amusing kick in the nuts to right wing dogma, not sure why people are reaching for lube and forming a circle.

Yeah, I'll go ahead an skip this. Granted I skip Maher in general (I hate both the format of his show and his general shtick), but have absolutely no reason to indulge Bannon trying to spread his agenda, and Tyson in that situation/environment is a waste.

One thing I am getting tired of is all sites saying someone owned someone else in a interview or discussion. As if every single discussion is a battle.

Yeah, I don't get this stupid shit either.

Every political discussion is a battle. Civility is history, our political structure has become little more than ignorant shouting and accusations of criminal intent. This is us, this is what we are.

Maher is obviously a very smart guy, and he has comedic timing and I do find him quite funny a lot of the time, but also has a bunch of effin' wacky quirks that makes him infuriating to watch sometimes, like his knee-jerk defense of Israel and anything it does, PETA, his constant hardon for anything "anti-PC", and (maybe he disavowed, I dunno), antivaxx nonsense.

Another of his dumb infuriating ideas is that fascists should be shown on TV to be exposed and shamed, somehow. 'Sunlight is the best disinfectant' or whatever he likes to claim repeatedly - NO! This doesn't work! It's been studied for chrissakes! Giving fascists and nazis airtime PROMOTES their cause! It lets them spread their poison further, more easily! Jesus effin' christ.
