Yeah he's been a disaster and the only reason he got there and is still there that I can think of is that he must have some leverage on Gates. Don't know that for sure but why else would that idiot still be there...

If this is formally announced I expect M$ stock to jump in value so buying yesterday would have been nice.

windows phone is actually pretty good, just too late to the game.

I played around with a surface last week and I want one so badly now, it's what a tablet is supposed to be if you ask me. it's an actual computer that can do actual work and isn't just a facebook/twitter toy for swaggots and people that say yolo.

Because it's unpossible to do real work on Android (or iOS)?

I didn't recently write up an entire resume from scratch, format it properly, save it to both PDF and .doc format, and email it to several companies while I was on vacation visiting some friends after I was browsing some local job listings on my Nexus 7. Not did I remotely manage and do system admin crap for my two VPS's while I was on the same vacation from the same tablet. (fwiw, I don't even have facebook or twitter installed on my tablet)

Wow, stellar news.

It would be incredible if Gates came back for a bit, the guy truly is a genius in his own way.

That said, I doubt he does. He's been busy with the Gates Foundation and happy doing so. Maybe it's somewhat possible that he comes back for a year to help right the ship alongside Ballmer's replacement.

Microsoft has flat out thrown themselves on their face during Ballmer's era. If it wasn't for the downright monopoly Ballmer started with, he would have bankrupted MS by now.

Good bring on Windows 9 / Server 2013 that brings back a normal start menu and ditches that bullshit metro tile stuff.

Server 2012 makes me want to punch kittens every time I have to use it.
