No, I think it's completely natural to have more body hair than a gorilla and be able to pick up cars.

I can't wait for all the ignorant ATOTer's who think that they're all chemists and biologists to post in this thread.

IFBB (Bodybuilding) does not test for steroids unless you piss the commissioner off.

I just assume all athletes are doing some form of performance enhancing drugs.

Why? What is wrong with letting those with natural physical ability impress us with that natural ability?

Steroids are not running wild throughout pro sports, they have testings and such. Do you guys seriously believe everything the media hypes up? (An example would be the french writing that article saying armstrong did performance enhancing drugs). Not saying Barry did not, but that does not suddenly mean that everyone is.

There's nothing wrong with that. (I guess my post wasn't 100% targeted toward steroid use in professional sports). I'm all for testing in sports to keep the playing field level and fair.

If someone wants to get roided up and potentially endanger his health and/or lifespan, they should be able to. Steroids don't really have effects that can endanger others (save the occasional "roid rage") whereas smoking, drinking, and others where judgement/consciousness/motor skill is impaired can and do.

I can agree with you there on the last point. However, I think they should be kept outside of professional sports. Just like a perfect set of breasts is better if they are natural, so is a great sports team. So, allow breast implants, but keep them out of Miss America pagents. Allow steroids, but keep them out of professional sports.

I agree 100% - that is what I was getting at. If Joe Schmoe wants to lift heavier weights and build muscle faster at the expense of his short term or long term health, so be it.

I dont think steroids is a problem in basketball, soccer or hockey... The players just aren't that big, and steroids do not offer that much of an advantage (compared to being caught and pay that price)...

Steroids do a bit more these days then simply making you bigger/stronger.
