Stereo surround with Realtek HD Audio

Hey all! My X-Fi recently died and I've resorted to using my onboard audio. On my X-Fi there was a feature called "CMSS 3d Surround" which enabled stereo sources to be played over all of my speakers. The Realtek audio manager doesn't seem to have any equivalent option. There is one "Speaker Fill" but although it plays sound over my rear speakers, it adds an odd reverb effect and the sound is partially filtered (voices are missing, sound is altered/distorted from what plays over the front channels). Additionally, it seems to mess up the sound when I have a real 5.1 source (ie movie or game). Is there a better way to get stereo sound to play over all of my speakers?

Onboard audio isn't that good (but it is better than before), it still lags behind dedicated cards.
So, about the best you can do is try the latest drivers from realtek, and hope they fixed some of the issues.
