**I hope I posted this in the right place**
I am trying to build a laptop to use as a digital music player. Cost is not really important to me but I don't want to spend over $2000.
I basically only going to be running iTunes to play my extensive collection of music on very high quality speakers. I have other computers which I work and play on, this will only be running iTunes, maybe a web browser too. I want the laptop to be as quite as possible, and to have the highest audio quality possible (optical out). Weight and battery life are not really issues at all.
Questions:
Windows Media Center or Vista?
Core solo? core duo? turion?
Ram 1gig?
If any one has any recommendations or has seen a similar set up I would love to know!
I am trying to get an idea of what laptop would give the most bang for the buck.
