stereo cable to comp's mono?

hey guys i was wondering if u guys could help me out. my new vid has got video-out and i tested it, it works. i got the s-video to the yellow thing (coaxial?). anyways, i wanna attach sound aswell....I got an amplifier (pretty old) with aux input, stereo thing (one with red and white connectors). im curious as to what i need to connect my sound card to my amplifier so i can have video + audio out, and watch/record myself playing a game DDDDDDDDD

assuming you just want stereo sound something like this will work fine...

you can get them cheaper elsewhere tho...

by the way the computer cable is not mono... it is just a mini plug... if you notice there are three contacts one for each channel and then a common ground... (i believe the plug is actually a 1/8 miniplug or something like that, i am no audiophile tho...)

thanks man. 1 thing tho...lol...what u mean JUSt stereo sound...i dont want surround or nething its just 2 speakers ...is stereo better than or equal to my crappy ass comp speakers, that got the crappy mono sound card?
