Steps tp Install a new Graphics Card

I ordered a 6800 to repalce my old MX420.

What should be the steps to replace the graphics card? I have heard something about cleaning all previous drivers (I had a friend's 9600Pro installed once too).

Also, will my AGP 4x slot me same as where the MX420 was?

Thanks a lot

uninstall old drivers (add/remove programs)
run Driver Cleaner
shut down comp
take out old card
put in new card
start comp
install new drivers
reboot

Exactly what i did when i upgraded my 9800pro to a x800xtpe

**Yes put the 6800 in the same spot as the old card

So, first use Add/Remove programs and uninstall the drivers.

Then restart comp in safe mode.

Run Driver Cleaner.

Then take out old card and put in the new one.

Install new drivers.

Right?

you don't have to but if you read the Driver Cleaner instructions it says too...
