All of my life i have been overweight to a certain degree. Ive been able to keep it mostly in control but in my first 2 years in college i have gained 40 pounds. Its time for me to undo that damage and get back down to 225 and then later on a bit lower.

Most of my weight gain came from eating at the school cafeteria. I was required to purchase a meal plan to stay at that certain dorm. I have now moved out and i am now in an apartment where i can cook for myself. I only always tend to lose a little weight when i am away from school due to the difference in what i eat at home and what i eat at school.

My goal is to lose 45 pounds by the end of year. I am 5'9-5'10 and 20 years old. I hope to update the pictures as the weight goes down.

Current at 265 May 21

265

May 26: 255 pounds (Note: the 265 was taken before may 21 but its when i first started my exercise. So the time its taken me to go from 265 to 255 has actually been almost 2 weeks)

June 11: 252 pounds. Weight loss has slowed a lot but im hoping to build some momentum now.

Last summer i was able to lose 30 in the 2.5 months. It came back pretty quick though since i was back to eating the cafeteria food. I thought now that im out of that it would be my best chance to lose and keep it off.

Good luck bro, im on a mission to drop 25lbs myself. Just remember... eat more often and smaller portions. Don't skip breakfast, start that metabolism going early and go to the GYM! dieting alone wont help!

I actually did lose 45 pounds, and have managed to keep it off. Like mentioned before drink lots of water. Don't stock any food in your house that you don't think is healthy for you. If you don't have fattening foods in your house, you won't be able to eat them

Eat your food slower and chew on it more. I read it somewhere that it mentally helps you to think that your eating more.

Keep it up and be consistent!

Ah, i know the exercise part too well now. I usually take 2 30 minute walks a day just to listen to music and go to the gym 6 days a week. My metabolism has never been fast enough to allow me to lose weight on dieting alone.

I hate to tell you this, but we look somewhat similar. I just have less hair, am shorter and a lot older.

Edit: When I say similar, I mostly mean body shape.

I do 40 minutes on the bike and will move back to the eliptical once my ankle injury heals a little more. I used to try jogging but with my size it would tire me to the degree that it would affect all my other exercises there.

I then hit the weight for my upper body and torso, 3 sets of 12 for each major muscle group using free weights. At the end i do 15 minutes interval training on the row machine which maxes me out to the point that its difficult to get into the 4runner.

I usually walk 1-2 times a day for 30 minutes depending on the weather. I live in houston and the weather is horrible now.

Ive always worked out late at night (around 11) and was thinking of putting in a 30 minute cardio session in the morning before breakfast.

I think he means a site where you can post your weight loss progress under an anonymous username.

Um, you could make an account at bbzzdd and not use your real username.
