http://www.businessinsider.com/seiu-union-plan-to-destroy-jpmorgan

This story is getting a fair bit of traction so as I'm wont to do from time to time, I'd thought I'd bring it to the forefront.

A former official of one of the country's most-powerful unions, SEIU, has a secret plan to "destabilize" the country.

The plan is designed to destroy JP Morgan, nuke the stock market, and weaken Wall Street's grip on power, thus creating the conditions necessary for a redistribution of wealth and a change in government.

The former SEIU official, Stephen Lerner, spoke in a closed session at a Pace University forum last weekend.

He's on tape outlining his plan for this May. He at one point says that he doesn't want to go into too much detail in case there are police in the room.

Lerner said that unions and community organizations are, for all intents and purposes, dead. The only way to achieve their goals, therefore--the redistribution of wealth and the return of "$17 trillion" stolen from the middle class by Wall Street--is to "destabilize the country."

Lerner's plan is to organize a mass, coordinated "strike" on mortgage, student loan, and local government debt payments--thus bringing the banks to the edge of insolvency and forcing them to renegotiate the terms of the loans. This destabilization and turmoil, Lerner hopes, will also crash the stock market, isolating the banking class and allowing for a transfer of power.

Lerner's plan starts by attacking JP Morgan Chase in early May, with demonstrations on Wall Street, protests at the annual shareholder meeting, and then calls for a coordinated mortgage strike.
Lerner also says explicitly that, although the attack will benefit labor unions, it cannot be seen as being organized by them. It must therefore be run by community organizations.

My questions to the participants here are, is what Mr. Lerner proposes an act of terrorism? Should it be investigated? Will Eric Holder do so?

My answers are:

Yes
Absolutely
No

I'll keep paying my mortgage, thank you Commandant Lerner. No one forced me to buy a house. No one forced me to sign the mortgage papers. I went in free willing, knowing the terms of my agreement.

I posed some questions in a very neutral manner and the usual suspects raised their heads out of the sand long enough to deflect.

I should have expected it.

I think I'll post the Muslim Student Association story next, or maybe numerous videos of Obama and Biden adamantly spouting viewpoints that are the exact opposite of what they're doing in Libya right now.

This crowd is easy and predictable. Not too challenging though...

So let me get this straight....

1. Stop paying all debt.

2. Make all banks fail.

3. Crush the stock market.

4. Crush every company that depends on a bank line.

5. Make the government default.

6. Crush every pension (including all union workers), 401k, mutual, and FDIC insured bank account (no FDIC bailout).

7. ...??!?!?!?!

8. Everybody but the "banksters" and "rich" people win!

And this movement is gaining momentum?

How does this qualify as terrorism? If I don't pay my bills, I default and lose my house/car/whatever. The bank then takes control and I'm left out in the cold. The banks won't be doing too well in the cashflow department, but in the end, they'll still own everything. I don't see anything remotely illegal being suggested - only gross miscalculation. Labeling misguided civil disobedience "terrorism" is stupid.

Ok, I'll answer your questions.

No.
No.
No.
Well thanks so much.

So, we're in agreements on my third question. I think Holder will just ignore it too although I feel that's a mistake. I'm curious why you don't think it should be investigated. This sounds like a multi-pronged plan. I'm not sure how feasible it would be to implement (a concerted effort to get people to quit paying their mortgages and students to quit paying student loans - really?) and how effective it could be but regardless, I think it should be investigated if only to let others know that a planned collapse of our financial system is something that we as a nation should take seriously. You know, like how traffic tickets are handed out in part to let people know that the authorities are serious about the enforcement of traffic laws?

Yeah, on second thought I agree terrorism is too strong a word. An over-used word these days which I guess led me to the use of it. I still feel it should be investigated for the reasons I gave above.

You know if people who listen\watch Glenn Beck would just remember one thing he has said, I'll paraphrase since I may get the quote wrong "If you believe what I say is gospel, you're an idiot", They'd be better off.

One problem though, if the rich are broke, who is going to order to make all the cheap crap they currently have made in China? Does this mean they will have to bring the jobs back to the USA?!?

It's the people that actually think this will work that scares me.

misguided for sure. So everyone stops paying mortgages. the banks own all these properties. The rich folk then buy up all these properties and rent them out to the people who got foreclosed on. People need a place to live. It is no fun being a revolutionary when it is 45 degrees outside, raining and you have no roof over your head.
