I don't know what he stands for but I'd vote for him (if I cared to vote).

All that said, I agree that this is mostly a stunt. But that doesn't mean he isn't also trying to make any legitimate political and/or social statements, at the same time.

Last night Colbert revealed the process for getting on the ballot in South Carolina.

For the Republicans its a 25,000 dollar fee with a 10,000 dollar late fee.
For the Democrats its 2,500 dollars. Which is waived if you get 3000 names on a petition.

I found that interesting. I wish someone had a website so we could see the rules for all 50 states.
