he has a point though. people already use wikipedia as a reputal resource when in fact it could have been created from a 10 year old who knows nothing on the subject.

Yep, he is absolutely correct. Using wikipedia as a source is absurd.

You just have to take it with a grain of salt with sites like wikipedia and snopes.

It's funny because I can actually hear him saying it in my head. I'll have to watch the rerun tonight.

Who used wikipedia as a reputable source that caused him to make fun of that person?

wtf? Where did that come from? Are you trying to start an argument?

But in response to your post: no, his show is not "all about politics," nor does it ever make that claim. But even if it were, why would it feel the need to always engage in controversial issues? It has no obligation to the public interest- it has nothing to do with "getting nuked" (and what kind of ignorant remark was that anyway?). Do you even watch the show?

Edit: Oh, and he has commented about the situation in Israel, did you just pull that comment out of your ass?

Dang dude.

As much as the pablum consuming masses would prefer not to believe it Colbert report and daily show are political satire.

They are not actually news sources. Even Jon Stewart used to say this in advertisements. Something to the effect of " Don't get your news from us, WE LIE!"

Doesn't change the fact so many people actually use Stewart and Colbert as news sources.
