I was in the gym this a.m. doing cardio and watching fox news. Stephen Baldwin was coming on and I figured I turn the chan but I got distracted and ended up watching him. He was promoting a new video he produced called "livin it" which is about Christian Skaters.

He was saying that he got saved about 2 years ago and has been involved in Kids ministrys ever since.

Alec must be rolling over in his french grave about now.

Just thought it was interesting.

How is trying to help to kids who are most-likely to be taken in by vice a bad thing again?

Or do you just hate blindly?

A kid with no morals is better than a kid with fundamental religious values. Fundamentalist christians = fundamentalist muslims = fundamentalist jews = 9/11 = Iraq War = mankind's problems.

It's very sad that you've been so blinded by your personal need to out-right reject what you know is the way of the light.

or do you honestly think that it's better to let a kid go to self-destruction, than to live filled with love?

Their is nothing wrong with being a fundamentalist as long as you have good fundamentals.

"It's very sad that you've been so blinded by your personal need to out-right reject what you know is the way of the light."
So does that mean that you're now filled with love AND sadness?

"Their is nothing wrong with being a fundamentalist as long as you have good fundamentals. "
Somewhere in a cave Osama is saying exactly the same thing.

Often. But joy is alwase at hand, all i have to do is ask and thank.

probably, but Christian fundamentals are those of forgiveness and love for one-another. If anything we should all be hoping for more Christian fundamentalists.

Extremists who violate the law are never a good thing, but overall many more lives are much better off than those few negatively effected by the rare lawbreaking-extremist.

plenty of fundamentalist libertarians exist, yes.

But just because a portion of a group of people disagrees with you in this respect politically, I'm sure you don't think its right to label the whole lot of them like this:
Fundamentalist Christians = ... = 9/11
right?
Not every Christian is a right wing Christian fundamentalist.
being a right-wing fundamentalist is something completely different than being a Christian fundamentalist;

But what is it that you want done to those who disagree with you politically? It sounds like a base of anti-Christian ignorance has been built so that 'freedom from religion' can be implemented forcefully... what else are you to do with the cause of 'all mankind?s problems'?

I dont Want Anything done to those that Disagree With me politically. Thats Where you And I Apparantly differ. THIS IS A FREE COUNTRY. Let them disagree.

Look at the Thread. I never linked christians To 911.

Im not Even Responding To the Other Baseless Talking points you Stated about my "Anti-christian" beliefs.

ill Just say this.

Matthew 6:5
And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites [are]: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

Translation. Beware Of those who wear Their religion on their sleeve for their own benifit

good question.

The answer is that some out-right hate filled comments where made in this thread, and you came down on the same side as people making those comments.

I don?t Want Anything done to those that Disagree With me politically. That?s Where you And I Apparently differ. THIS IS A FREE COUNTRY. Let them disagree.

Look at the Thread. I never linked Christians To 911.
you sound like a moderate, but you also didn't disagree with others that did. It's like being argued against for being a Jew, being called 'vermin' then someone coming and stating they don't like how Jews own shops.
You didn't disagree with the guy calling us vermin, so why should your more temperate anti-Christian argument not be construed to be part of the same overall line of thinking? I didn't want to assume, so i asked.

I poorly articulated myself here:
But what is it that you want done to those who disagree with you politically? It sounds like a base of anti-Christian ignorance has been built so that 'freedom from religion' can be implemented forcefully... what else are you to do with the cause of 'all mankind?s problems'?
but was intending that the question be posed to someone who actually believes in the same way as info hawk.

Yea I messed up on that post, my ire wasn't directed at you, but at the fact that no one from the opposing camp had yet denounced calling Christians "the cause of mankind's problems"

how gay people fit into that grouping isn't that clear to me..

but yup, I am going to bash fundamentalist wack jobs of every religion. Anyone narrow minded enough to think their particular religious morality applies to the whole of the world deserves a little challenge to their beliefs. And anyone that's trying to force it down my throat with legislation or peer pressure better hope I'm bound and gagged.

Before anyone comes at me with "but your ideaology is narrow too because you want them to agree with you" type of comment, let me say this:

Ethics based on philosophical discussion are a far cry from religion. If anything is going to approach a general moral code for people to live by, it's this type of process that's going to get to it. Confining onesself to only one religion / moral code is not the way to reach harmony with a diverse population. Religion is illogical, irrational, and applicable only to those for whom it serves some psychological need.

i agree, we're all humans, we all screwup.

Religion is illogical, irrational, and applicable only to those for whom it serves some psychological need.
Everyone has a psychological need for fulfillment, a fulfillment that many try to fill with drugs or consumerism, or power, or self importance... But that can never truly be filled with anything but a relationship with Christ, as Christ is love and forgiveness.
