Does anyone know where I can read a complete review on this company? I thought I saw a topic in this forum once but couldn't find it in search.

If anyone has info on this company, before I make my purchase I would appreciate it.

They are offering an AMD TBird 800 Mhz plus the Step cooling system for $204.00. Looks to me like a good deal.

step is an excellent company with some very high tech manufacturing processes. It was great back in the day when over clocking a cpu took some heavy cooling..... with there 3 step process of bonding and fusing the heatsinks to a copper plate and the use of high tech spcae age epoxys. But now that we have .18 micron process manufacturing, the step process is over kill imho. I dont think a coppermine needs a 3 fan system that is bonded with 100 psi and some space age epoxy to over clock to a substantial rate anymore..

step has problems shipping.
took my yukon about a week to get to me.
there's really no need for the step products now. but if you gotta have them, they're really well made.

They usually have good deals on the RAM Dimms. I'd take a look at them if ordering a step cooler.

I've had two or three orders (cpu's and ram) with them and have had no problems other than shipping delays (expect around two weeks or so for shipping.)

if you do decide to order with them, let me know as I'd like to place another order with them.

I agree with the earlier comments. They're products are very good, but they take a long time to ship and their customer service is weak.

I ordered an Athlon 600/700 processor from them last November and it took 1 month to ship. :-(

I don't like them! It took 1-2 MONTHS to get my CPU. It was a Celeron 300@450. I got it with their best (4 fan) cooler and it did not do anything over 450. I could have bought 3 CPUs for the price of 1 CPU and the cooler. I do not think they are a very good company.
