Step aerobics ..

I am thinking about taking an online step aerobics course for an easy half credit in physical education .. I need it to graduate. Just curious, is step aerobics really just stepping on and off of a little block? And I need to have my own step .. where can I get one, how much are they, and is there anything I need to know before picking one out?

I think that about covers it. Thanks 😉

I believe the steps actually cost upwards of $30. They're expensive because of the weight they 'usually' have to support. LOL.... "ONLINE step aerobics" I've heard it all now. 😛

I have done it. The little step thing is cushoned and you can raise it to make the workout harder. Its not a block though, more like a plastic platform with foam bricks on either side to adjust the height. I dunno about price or availability. Hope this helps tho.

That's more than I thought. Do you think I could just use a wooden box or something?

There's no real difference. You might even be able to borrow one from someone/somewhere.

I thought the title was "Stop aerobics" and I was like sh!t yeah! But what about PE and other forms of activity?
then I read it again, and I said doh

I have a step, but I can't remember how much it cost. I got it from walmart though a number of years ago.

I've also been to a few step classes, and it's not just stepping up and down on a step! There is a routine, you not only step but you jump up and you hop and do a bunch of fun moves! It's complicated in the beginning until you get the hang of the routine.

The first time I did it, I looked like an idiot cause the instructor was going so fast I could'nt grasp the routine! I was just laughing most of the way through!

Anyway have fun doing your online class!🙂

My wife made me go to a couple of classes a long time ago.

I'll tell you one thing, its a lot damn harder than it looks, takes quite a bit of coordination to do it without snapping your ankle like a twig. Although as mentioned above, its gets easier with practice.
