steering wheel with win XP

I have a TSW2 steering wheel and win98. My new rig I am getting will be xp the wheel works in the game port on my present ESS sound card, I know ESS= yuk. Am getting an ASus A7n8x delux that comes with a game port card. will this arrangement work as it does now, or am I to upgrade the connection to usb for the wheel?

I just finished racing NFSPU with my TSW2 under XP. Mine is connected to the gameport on a Turtle Beach Santa Cruz. It did call my brake a rudder when calibrating. The wheel worked fine. Wish I could say the same for the game menus. Probably need to try new video drivers for my menu issues.
