Steering Wheel FF Error with Santa Cruz....

Hiya guys...

I recently installed the SC and whenever I enable the FF on my MSFF steering wheel, I end up with a Vxd error. I'm using the 4081 drivers, and this problem occurs in both n3 and n4. However, with the FF disabled, everything works fine. I have direct sound acceleration disabled in the SC, and I really can't figure out why I can't go more than a lap or two before it crashes....🙁

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Anyone have any answers for this?? I have the latest drivers for the steering wheel, and the soundcard...I just can't figure out what the problem is...

You say that you disabled DirectSound acceleration in the Santa Cruz control panel, but did you disable it in DirectX? Go to start -> run and type "dxdiag." Go to the sound panel and move the slider all the way to the left. See if that helps. If not, start looking for IRQ conflicts and think about moving the Santa Cruz to another PCI slot.

Good luck! 😀
