An hour? what airport are you checking in at? Not LAX or SFO that's for sure.

flying LAX -> SF generally means 30 minutes of commute, 15 minutes of check-in, 1 hour of security, and then 30 minutes of pre-flight time.

If you're doing that in reverse there is the horror show of rental car return plus buses back to the terminals. Another half hour at least. LAX really needs a people mover and a CONRAC.

that would make the de-planing process take alot longer, wouldn't it??

Have you flown recently? I don't know what it is, but people are retarded when they're trying to deplane and it takes them an eternity to get up, get their carry-ons, and exit.

The airlines must be shielded from getting sued for those deaths they will cause.
