Hey I was hoping to get some more Info. via websites, people, or what ever, into how steel is made, and what and why a couple of these terms are used. PLC, ABB, Resolver, and Hot Mill X-Ray Gate??

If any body has any info, please let me know.

Thanks

Actually a work question, I am part of a business development team, and we are starting to get consultants that are not in the IT field, which what we mainly deal with, and we have no real knowledge of the steel mills, and stuff that goes along with them. So i was hoping to get some info, I did, but I can always use more

thanks guys

I've worked in many steel mills over the last 12 years...very interesting stuff🙂

really, you used to work in one, nice, do you still?? where at?? what state?

I've worked in a couple of different mills in Ohio. Mostly in Cleveland and Warren.

Warren has one blast furnace in operation and Cleveland still has two that are operational. I've been inside all three of them too🙂

The Cleveland mill is a good size and includes a BOF, 84" rolling mill, and various other mills.
